Quick verdict
The Pixel 11 Pro XL is the Pixel to get if you want a big screen, the biggest Pixel battery and the fastest Pixel charging. It costs $1,299 like the iPhone 18 Pro Max and Galaxy S26 Ultra, offers 7 years of OS updates, and has a strong camera spec sheet. If you don't need the bigger screen, the $1,099 Pixel 11 Pro has the same cameras.

Price and storage
Android Authority lists US prices of $1,299 for 12GB/256GB, $1,419 for 512GB and $1,649 for 1TB. It notes that, because of what it calls the RAM crisis, the Pixel 11 series technically saw a price increase. Google's store lists 16GB of RAM with the 512GB and 1TB models. Pro buyers also got a free six-month Google AI Pro subscription at launch, per Android Authority.
Display
Google calls the 6.8-inch panel a Super Actua display: 1344 x 2992 pixels at 486 ppi, 1 to 120Hz, up to 2400 nits in HDR and 3600 nits peak, under Gorilla Glass Victus 2 with an anti-scratch shield. Those peak numbers are among the highest of any phone we cover, which should help outdoors.
Performance and AI
Tensor G6 is Google's chip. Google says it runs the latest Gemini Nano model on device and calls it its fastest, most powerful chip. Pixels have never chased benchmark records; Google's pitch is AI features and photo processing. If raw gaming performance is your top priority, compare benchmark reviews before buying.
Battery and charging
The XL has a 5,115 mAh typical battery (5,000 mAh minimum) and Google quotes 30+ hours. It is the only Pixel 11 with 45W wired charging: up to 75% in about 30 minutes with a 45W charger, sold separately. Google's launch post says 15 minutes of wired charging can give 15 hours of battery life. The Pixel 11 Pro uses 30W charging (55% in about 30 minutes). Both support Pixelsnap Qi2.2 wireless charging up to 25W, so magnetic accessories just snap on.
Cameras
The Pro and Pro XL share the same rear cameras: a 50MP wide with a 1/1.3-inch sensor, a 48MP ultrawide at f/1.7 and a 48MP 5x telephoto with a 1/1.95-inch sensor and up to 120x Pro Zoom. The front camera is 42MP. That is a big gap over the base Pixel 11, which Android Authority lists with a 48MP main, 13MP ultrawide and 10.8MP 5x telephoto.

Software and updates
The Pixel 11 Pro XL ships with Android 17 and gets 7 years of OS updates, according to Android Authority and PhoneArena. That is a strong reason to buy if you keep phones a long time.
Who should buy it
- People who want the purest Android experience and fast updates
- Anyone who keeps a phone for 5 to 7 years
- Selfie and video-call heavy users (42MP front camera)
- Buyers who want magnetic Qi2.2 accessories without a special case
Who should skip it
- Mobile gamers who want the fastest chip
- Anyone who wants a smaller phone (get the Pixel 11 Pro)
- Buyers on a budget: the base Pixel 11 starts at $899
Before you buy any flagship: a quick checklist
- Check the real price, not the launch price. Carriers and retailers often discount flagships, especially around holidays and before a successor launches.
- Pick storage carefully. 256GB is the base on all three big flagships. If you shoot a lot of 4K or ProRes video, step up a tier, because you can't add storage later.
- Budget for a charger. The fastest charging speeds quoted by Apple and Google need an adapter sold separately.
- Check your carrier's bands and eSIM support if you buy unlocked or import a phone.
- Look at the update policy. Longer software support keeps a phone safe and raises resale value.
- Protect it on day one. Glass backs and big camera bumps are expensive to repair.
Trade-ins and resale
Flagship phones lose value fastest in their first year. If you plan to trade in your old phone, do it while it is still a current or recent model, and back it up and remove your accounts before you hand it over. Carrier trade-in deals can look generous, but they are often paid as monthly bill credits that you lose if you leave early, so read the terms. Selling privately usually gets you more money but takes more effort.
Pros and cons
Pros
- 7 years of OS updates
- 45W wired and 25W Qi2.2 magnetic wireless charging
- 42MP selfie camera and 5x telephoto with a large sensor
- Very bright 3600-nit peak display
Cons
- $1,299 starting price, up from the previous generation
- Charger not included
